Mark your calendars for our “Day of Service” on Sunday, October 1st. We will first gather for worship at our normal time at 10:00 a.m. Following worship, we will enjoy a simple lunch together before heading out the door to serve our community at various sites. All ages are welcome!

Horsepower Therapeutic Learning Center Group Leader: Laura & David Reneer
Horsepower’s mission is to promote and enhance the welfare of individuals with disabilities by providing a program of therapeutic, educational and recreational value, and further, to empower individuals who are mentally, physically, emotionally and/or socially challenged through the use of horses, while providing therapeutic benefits in a safe and controlled atmosphere. Work may include helping them get ready for their Fall Festival or other center related duties. Wear old clothes!
Church Campus / Garden Beautification (Adults & Children)
Group Leader: Brian Carroll, Andy McDougal, Elizabeth Ochoa
Help give our church some landscape TLC! Work may include trimming trees and bushes, and giving some love to our community garden! If you want to spend some time giving our church grounds some love, then this is for you! The church garden is great for children and families!
Care Cards (3-5 year olds) Group Leader: Sherri Rhyne, Karen Johnson
This special service group is perfect for 3-5 year olds to provide their helping hands creating cards and artwork to be given to shut-ins, Urban Ministry,
Oak Ridge Random Acts of Kindness Group Leader: Uhrlass Family
Perfect service group for people of all ages! Great for families! This group will team up to spread all over Oak Ridge Kindness Cards with uplifting quotes. It’s up to you to where to go and give them out! A great idea is to go to a shopping center and put Kindness Cards under windshield wipers or just hand them out! Ideas are endless!
Tabatha House Group Leader: Scott Neely
Tabitha House is “where women’s lives are transformed” and is one of the only shelters and recovery sites for women in Greensboro. Tabatha House embraces this unique role, providing services to women who seek to be free of “addiction, abuse, and neglect.” This special service group will help with various projects at Tabitha’s facilities.
